This one's set in LA. Ben Stiller is an antisocial with mental problems who looks after his brother's house and dog, aided by general help Greta Gerwig. What we later learn is he's ruined his chances of success with band, Rhys Ifans being former member. With Mark Duplass, Merit Weaver, Brie Larson, Juno Temple. Rather sweet, tangy, engaging, amusing, distinctive.
You wonder quite how it's going to turn out. Gerwig's character is amazingly resilient, if you think about it. He does at least manage to build a nice dog house.

Being now qualified Gerwig / Baumbach fans we will no doubt have to catch Mistress America next.
