I don't think original co-writer George Seaton would have been pleased to have been roped in on the screenplay credit with Chris Columbus at all. This is rummy slush, with an unsympathetic Elizabeth Perkins, bland Dylan McDermott and yucky Mara Wilson, leaving Dickie Attenborough to carry the film. Oh, it's 'A Les Mayfield film' by the way, so we know who to blame, produced by John Hughes.
