The Banshees of Inisherin (2022 Martin McDonagh & scr)

OK, I was wrong, There was an Irish Civil War in 1923 between the Irish Free State and the IRA. However, this might still act as a mirror for what's going on between Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleason. It's also about artistic freedom and the trappings of boring normalcy. (As you get older you don't have much time to waste.)

The animals are incredible.

I think it's American opera singer Jessye Norman performing the Brahms.

It was nominated for nine Oscars and didn't win any - is this record of some kind? Won BAFTAs for Outstanding British Film of the Year (something McDonagh was suitably sarcastic about), Best screenplay and for Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan.
