Ian Fletcher (Hugh Bonneville) from the Olympics Deliverance team is now Head of Values and Big Thoughts at the BBC - it's cool how the institution embraces this spiky satire. There's more underlying love stories going on, Bonneville with Nina Sosanya and useless intern Hugh Skinner's obvious crush on Olivia Lovibond.
Jason Watkins is terrific as a passive-aggressive manipulator, Monica Doolan great as always, having mastered a Welsh accent. With a stone-faced Sarah Parish, straight-talking David Westhead and the terribly annoying Jessica Hynes. Only four episodes in this first season. Like the way Bonneville is on the back foot until the final episode where he out-manoeuvres Watkins finally.
Very funny.
