Written by Michael Russell & Horowitz. A slightly suspect German barrister, a safe-cracker, a food manufacturer, and a Home Guard exercise combine beautifully into a sinister whole. Plus some kids collecting for the war effort come well into play.
Ian Redford is the businessman, Laurence Fox his son, Luke de Woolfson and Emily Blunt the safecracker and his sister, Alan Howard the QC - or KC even, Tim Preece. Ellie Haddington makes the first of many appearances as Hilda Pierce, a shadowy figure in military intelligence.
