A look back to the filming of The Last Picture Show as the cast are reunited for its sequel almost twenty years later, filmed at the same place of Archer City, Texas where Larry McMurtry grew up. The locals seem fairly disagreeable.
Interesting response from Polly Platt, still working with Bogdanovich despite the end of their eight year marriage, when asked if the characters in TLPS were mirroring the actors' real, messy lives. Timothy Bottoms seemed the saddest figure, though I was reminded that Peter's dad also died during filming, which must have added melancholy to the proceedings.
