Had we not known it was based on actual events, and that in Almenábar nothing is as it initially seems we might not have persevered with baby-stabbing Satanist nonsense, though film actually is about mass hysteria and the harm that regression therapy was capable of. Emma Watson is good as usual; with Ethan Hawke, David Thewlis, David Dencik (good as father; Swedish).
