I don't know why. Bradley (and Eric Roth and Will Fetters) have remade it for the third time, though they might have changed things around a bit - how about the lead doesn't kill himself, for example? He and Lady Gaga (Stefani Germanotta) are very good and so are the new songs. (As a complete tangent, her debut on-screen I read was in
The Sopranos - which is to have a prequel made with Michael Gandolfini....) Is it her real nose?
Sam Elliott's teary eyes provide the film's only moment of emotion. And quite how Dave Chapelle's character fits into anything is anybody's guess. With Anthony Ramos, Andrew Dice Clay.
