Punchline (1988 David Seltzer & scr)

Seltzer - best known for Omen movies - captures well the terror and business of being a stand-up comedian and uses two directors in the cast, Mark Rydell and Paul Mazursky. Tom Hanks is in his first serious role, balanced by Sally Field, with John Goodman and a low-billed Damon Wayans. It was good.
