Closed-up widower Irrfan Khan receives the wrong lunch ('too salty') from unhappily married (and beautiful) Nimrat Kaur, which encourages friendship with office colleague Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Also with Yashvi Puneet Nagar and the often heard but unseen auntie Bharti Achrekar.
Fascinating (why don't the husbands just take a packed lunch into the office with them?) and truly sweet. Khan is one of those actors who can do a lot by doing little, script is simple yet good.
Has a certain something of The Shop Around the Corner and In the Mood for Love about it - set in Mumbai - and an ending you have to make up for yourself. Revealing to us though about the persistent caste system (none of the dabbalawas ever get a 'thank you').
