Breaking In (1989 Bill Forsyth)
Not up the the earlier brilliance of Gregory's Girl, Local Hero and Comfort and Joy as Forsyth didn't write it - it was John Sayles. Nevertheless, entertaining film has professional burglar Burt Reynolds mentoring young idiot Casey Siemaszko in the trade of safe-cracking. The film doesn't really get quite as good again as an earlier scene involving a break-in at a supermarket, and (what turns out to be) two Dobermans, who looked familiar (though can't have been the same two in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot as that was 15 years earlier - talking of which, we incorrectly dated the film as 1985 from the music.
