Don't Make Waves (1967 Alexander Mackendrick)

Not an auspicious ending to Sandy Mackendrick's career, but not too bad either, as bum Tony Curtis becomes a Malibu swimming pool sales man and tries to muscle in on muscle man's girlfriend, Sharon Tate. With Claudia Cardinale, Robert Webber, Joanna Barnes, David Draper (who seems to be dubbed; there's certainly some noticeable looping going on), Mort Sahl.

Written by Ira Wallach (from his novel; he also wrote Boys' Night Out) and adapted by he and George Kirgo, with Maurice Richlin credited for the adaptation. Great sky-diving stunt.

Photographed by Philip Lathrop in Panavision.
