Topical crime drama with premise a flooded town, caused by crooked property developer Philip Glenister. A murder is uncovered and into it wades junior (and pregnant) detective Sophie Rundle, and her husband detective Matt Stokoe. It seems Jonas Armstrong may have something to do with it, and a French overactor Anita Adam Gabay also complicates things. With Tripti Tripuraneni, Lorraine Ashbourne, Faye McKeever, Nicholas Gleaves.
In the end, the bad guy seems to get away with it - Q thinks this cues season 2.
Rundle's character is determined to the point of madness - despite often being told to give up the case, she continually goes against advice / orders. As the bad guy insists, if she hadn't kept pursuing things then two people might not be dead
There's a novel, by Kassandra Montag, which has nothing to do with it.
