Father of the Bride (1950 Vincente Minnelli)

Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett adapted Edward Streeter's novel, and were Oscar nominated, but lost to All About Eve.

Spencer's dream scene is a doozy:

There are claims that this was designed by Salvador Dali, but I can't substantiate that anywhere and so think it to be an urban myth.
