I really tried to like it... Clearly there's nothing wrong with the cast at all - Jack Lemmon, Elaine May and Peter Falk (and Nina Wayne). But the characters are really irritating. You know sometimes you watch a scene in a film and it just goes on too long and is irritating to the point where you want to smash the screen? Unfortunately it's one of those films, and the fault lies with Elliott Baker, who adapted Murray Schisgal's hit Broadway play.
Other then the cast, Gerry Mulligan's music is the best thing about it. Ernest Laszlo shot it.
