Amusing first episode has actor Stanley Tucci shadowing Monk, then becoming him ("We have a brother?") rather successfully reuniting them from Big Night in 1996.
I was going to say it looks like they've stopped filming in Canada, but Garbage Strike episode is filmed in LA.
In School Basketball game I was quite impressed with myself for recognising Jennifer Laurence as the mascot, with her one line of dialogue.
Good episode (Lee Goldberg, William Rabkin) where Monk is blinded, in funny moment ends up thinking he's walking across a girder way above ground.
Other memorable moments: Monk meets his father, Dan Hedaya, solves truck murder. Finds true calling in life as meticulous butler. And visits a farm Randy's inherited, solves murder, teased by local cop Brooke Adams.
