A well acted film. James Garner has forever been just so likeable that when his heart breaks, so does ours. And Gena Rowlands is always sensational. Ryan Gosling is great in his first big role alongside Rachel McAdams. Also with Kevin Connolly, Sam Shepard, David Thornton, Joan Allen (Tucker, Searching for Bobby Fischer, Pleasantville, Hachi), James Marsden.
Jeremy Leven (My Sister's Keeper) and Jan Sardi (Shine) adapted Nicholas Sparks' novel.
It was photographed by Robert Fraisse. Aaron Zigman was the composer. The production design was by Sarah Knowles (Catch me If You Can) and the editing by Alan Heim (All That Jazz).
