Injustice (2011 Writer Anthony Horowitz, director Colm McCarthy)

A five part ITV thing. James Purefoy is a barrister with a Past - his wife Dirvla Kirwan worries when he goes to London to help former college friend Nathaniel Parker, who's on trial for murdering his young secretary.. worried he'll have another violent relapse like he did in the Flashback. But there's Big Oil at work. Meanwhile almost psychotic cop Charlie Creed-Miles (channeling a scary amount of anger from somewhere) gets on the case, with new colleague Obi Abili (who we know from Foyle's War and was in 21 Bridges); the former's wife is downtrodden Kirsty Bushell. Thought Dirvla's young writer student looked familiar - it's Joe Cole! Lisa Diveney is Purefoy's daughter - seems familiar.

Of all the actors, Purefoy is the one who you can actually see acting.

Hilton McRae is the person who deals with dead people - can't remember the name now. Pathologist. We know him from Lewis, funnily enough the same one we know Anthony Higgins from, 'Counter Culture Blues'. And the guy Purefoy first tries to help is Humans' lovely Ivanno Jeremiah!

It's a satisfyingly twisty tale, perhaps ultimately somewhat far-fetched.
