Too Hot To Handle (1938 Jack Conway)

Rival newsreel cameramen fight over footage, and over the woman who comes between them. Lively and professional MGM A Picture with Clark Gable, Myrna Loy (they had just been named 'King and Queen of Hollywood' - not sure by who though) and Walter Pidgeon, set in China and the Amazon, though incorporating real footage from a tribe in Dutch New Guinea.

Written by Laurence Stallings and John Lee Mahin from Len Hammond's story. Has a somewhat bonkers ending in which Gable and Pidgeon are disguised as bird men but don't reveal their true identities when they're chasing after Loy.

Marjorie Main, as Walter Connolly's assistant, gets most of the best lines. With Leo Carillo.

Some quite effective scenes e.g. filming ship on fire that contains explosives, model work, montages.
