An Academy Production (with Lee Garmes as producer) for RKO, we saw it under the festive title, no doubt a re-release ploy. The copy TPTV screened was in Vague-o-Vision, another carefully protected print from the RKO library. However it is rather sweet. A kind of Snow White and the Three Dwarves, with aging friends Charles Winniger (lovely), Aubrey Mather (genial) and Harry Carey (grumpy) looking out for couple Jean Parker and Richard Carlson (The Little Foxes) - with Russian aristocrat Maria Ouspenskaya and Alex Melesh in the wings - even after they're dead. Helen Vinson is the Love Threat (she's so no good, that after she's dead, "There was no soul left to go on"). Jack Cosgrove helps out on the special effects.
