The Way (2010 Emilio Estevez & scr, prod)

Martin Sheen experiences the Camino de Santiago across France, Spain and Portugal. Well no, he doesn't experience it, he forges ahead like a steam train, not really taking anything in, adopting a little band of co-travellers - who are Deborah Kara Unger, Yorick van Wageningen and James Nesbitt. Sheen's trying to accept the sudden death of his son, who keeps appearing en route.

It's OK, but if you compare it to IKWIG's sense of place and people it is left for dust.

Also it appears the Dutchman has something more complex going on, but he doesn't, so that's a bit poor. It's all a bit thin but is reasonably distracting.
