The older daughter is attempting to build a relationship with her biological mother to Esther Smith's nervousness. (I now find her really irritating.) She needn't have worried - the 'mother' is useless. Darren Boyd attempts / pretends to row the Atlantic. Then sinks into a funk. It's not really that funny, but somehow still watchable.
