It's a Gift (1934 Norman Z McLeod)

Written by Jack Cunningham, based on a story by 'Charles Bogle' i.e. Fields), shot by William Sharp. It's absolutely hilarious.

W.C. Fields as Harold Bissonette in sublime form, hopes to buy an orange grove. Kathleen Howard in full opera singer Margaret Dumont mode.

Good sound well exploited e.g. in scene where he can't sleep and retires to the porch (in which more and more things happen to ruin his sleep). 'Does Carl La Fong live here?'
