Two Weeks Notice (2002 Marc Lawrence & scr)

Hugh Grant has the best lines as brother of corporate tycoon David Haig, viz:
"I'm going to be poor. We may need to share a helicopter with another family" and
"I need to be somewhere no one knows me. Where is Staten Island?"

Sandra Bullock is the environmental campaigner who becomes his legal aide. Alicia Witt is work-love rival, Dana Ivey and Robert Klein disappointed parents.

Um. It's rather thin. For example, Grant's driver Dorian Missick then becomes a pal, playing chess with him, then disappears from view. Lazy writing and construction (he's there only to talk through a plot point). And Bullock's departure is hailed that she has been the best boss to work for but we've seen no evidence of that. Film is quite fun though.

Has a nice glow for New York about it and features the Coney Island 1923 landmark Childs Restaurant Building, which funnily enough is becoming a community centre after doubling for years as a sweet factory. The other historic building Grant points out is the beautiful, art deco 1930 Chrysler Building.
