If you were to cocktail Faraldo's Themroc, Jeunet's Delicatessen, the dream sequences from 8½ and Kusturica's Underground you'd begin to get an idea what this remarkable and extremely strange film is like. It's strikingly photographed by Vladmimir Ilin (in black and white 4x3) and features many long and complicated tracking shots.
