Written by Launder & Gilliat from their play "Meet a Body", in which Alistair Sim plays an unlikely assassin who is foiled by neighbour Jill Adams and vacuum salesman George Cole. Raymond Huntley is an insufferable politician who turns his nose up at 'Chop Toad' (which I later learn is Toad in the Hole but with chops instead of sausages) and Terry-Thomas puts in really no more than a cameo. Colin Gordon is rather good as the equally intolerable fiance Reginald Willoughby-Cruft, John Chandos is the assassin's assistant, Peter Bull has one of his two second appearances as what looks like a Spanish footballer, and neither of us noticed Arthur Lowe as a radio salesman.
