Budget? Gross? This time the budget was a huge $2.5 million (the first, let's not forget, was only $300,000). It grossed £25 million in the US alone. (The worldwide grosses are not recorded.)
At one point Q described the masked killer as William Shatner. The Halloween mask was actually modeled on Captain Kirk by production designer Tommy Lee Wallace.
Hadn't noticed before that the poor unfortunate guy in the mask who's fried - it's Ben Trainer, Laurie's intended dance date!
It's weird when Laurie's parents are mentioned as we haven't met them and it's like they don't exist.
Despite the lack of as many Halloween elements, and a little less Panaglide camera movement, it's still an enjoyable ride.
Samhain was a real Gaelic festival on 31 October celebrating the end of the harvest and a time when ghosts could come into the world. But as a plot point it's totally irrelevant.
