Daisy Jones and the Six (2023 some people)

Yes - it's getting increasingly difficult to summarise credits - this mini series for Amazon has about a hundred producers. It was 'developed for television' by Scott Neustadter and Michael Webber from a book by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Jihan Crowther is the 'executive story editor' and various writers are credited for each episode, and though James Ponsoldt directed half of the ten episodes, others did too.

Anyway, an enjoyable enough rock group story set in the seventies, though I'm sorry but some of these actors don't look young enough in the early scenes (especially Sam Claflin, who was 36 at the time of filming) and weirdly some of them seem younger in the later scenes. The Daisy Jones character is quite annoying. We liked the drummer and Claflin's wife and their producer.

The music is only OK - a sort of Fleetwood Mac type band. And needless to say, it isn't a patch on Almost Famous. The device of their future selves being interviewed about their past works quite well.

Riley Keough (Elvis's grand daughter), Camilla Morone, Suki Waterhouse (A Rainy Day in New York, English), Will Harrison, Josh Whitehouse, Sebastian Chacon (fun as charismatic drummer), Nabiyah Be, Tom Wright (producer), Timothy Olyphant.

10 part original series for Amazon. Too long, really, for the material.
