Ginnifer Godwin falls for her best friend Kate Hudson's fiance Colin Egglesfield; friend John Krazinski cottons on. This is not - as billed on Netflix - a romcom but a romdram, refreshingly without a predictable outcome - in fact it could have gone several ways. The main problem is that the Hudson character is totally needy and selfish, and she remains that way, with the girls ending up only just on speaking terms. Also, if you start a relationship with someone who's already in one, surely you can't really trust they wouldn't do the same to you.
It's written by Jennie Snyder Urman from Emily Giffin's novel. Secondary characters are stereotypes. Photographed by Charles Minsky.
