Crazy, hilarious, zippy zero-budget classic. The monster was made from five helmets, a wet suit, some moss, lots of brillo pads, tennis balls for the eyes, pipecleaners for the claws and black oilcloth. The budget for it was $150. (That's quite a lot for 1961 actually.) Loved the scenes on the boat which is clearly on land, being rocked by the crew, and some of the underwater scenes look like they've been shot through a fish tank!
