Based on video material that Eleanor Coppola shot on location over the two years they were out in the Philippines. A fascinating film, including some interesting outtakes of Brando's three weeks at $1million a week, Martin Sheen's crack-up, Francis's frustration at not being able to find the ending and the enormous financial risk (though Eleanor saying 'If we lost the house, I really wouldn't mind living somewhere less grand"), Sam Bottoms' drug taking.
Eleanor died 12 April aged 87.
