A Ken Follett novel adapted by Stanley Mann, places Donald Sutherland as a German spy in WWII Britain. He manages to elude pursuers Ian Bannen and Philip Martin Brown and ends up on remote Storm Island (the isle of Mull) with Kate Nelligan (who kept reminding me of Minnie Driver) and her wheelchair-bound husband Stephen MacKenna. I believe there's a sex scene between Sutherland and Nelligan that didn't make it into the print we saw, 104 minutes, which was broadcast on Film 4. Intrigued to see on the new release there's Marquand's preferred cut, 112 minutes. (The theatrical release was 113.)

Sutherland is good and the film is quite watchable.
