As Max and Helen are off to London, there's a new Medical Director (Michelle Forbes) who threatens to overturn everything good Max has done. She's wonderfully horrible and annoying. Even the Chairman of the Board Debra Monk begins to understand how everything is going down the pan.
Have to mention Alejandro Hernandez as the faithful Head Nurse in the ED.
We thought Max couldn't leave, but he does, and in London things take an entertaining but implausible turn; no less plausible is the band of revolutionaries back at New Amsterdam, led by new deaf oncologist Sandra Mae Frank. And Floyd is in a messy triangle with Andre Blake and Frances Turner.
Interesting stuff about the unreliability of repressed memories.
The writing's becoming very variable, not to mention nonsensical. 'London' clearly isn't. Ping pong writing of evil Medical Director and will Max stay or go eventually becomes trying.
