Strike (2022 Sue Tully, writer Tom Edge)

There's a lot going on here, well relayed by Edge. And a theme of dysfunctional families, which might be behind the disappearance in 1974 of a young doctor, but is affecting Strike's personal life as well.  Really well written e.g. scene with two elderly women, then a meeting with a strange mother and son who swear the father killed the missing girl with magic.

Great that this is told over a four hour slot too. Though I wasn't entirely convinced that all the plot lines had been resolved (I suspect that was my fault rather than the script's).

Abigail Lawrie stands out as the disappeared girl, but all the acting's good.
