Money Monster (2016 Jodie Foster)

A gripping film, written by Jim Kouf and Alan DiFiore (from their story) and presumably then worked on by Jamie Linden. Disgruntled investor Jack O'Connell (who holds up well) holds TV presenter George Clooney to ransom with bomb vest on live TV. Studio director Julia Roberts starts to work out what's going on with dodgy CEO Dominic West. Exciting throughout, well acted. With Caitriona Balfe (Belfast), Giancarlo Esposito, Christopher Denham, Lenny Venito (cameraman).

Smoothly put together by Foster and editor Matt Chessé from Matthew Libatique's images.

Good commentary therefore on corporate fraud, the media. Though I do see the irony that this film is itself making loads of money for a big corporation while commenting on it.

I didn't remember a thing about it.
