The one where Lana Turner is bored with her life and walks out of it; then feigns amnesia to be 'reunited' with father of missing heiress Walter Brennan. Meanwhile former employer Robert Young is after the truth. Good support from Eugene Pallette, Dame May Whitty, Alan Mowbray, Florence Bates.
Young is annoyingly persistent, Turner a bit much. Story Ian McLellan Hunter & Aileen Hamilton, screenplay by Charles Lederer and George Oppenheimer. Enjoyable enough.
Photographed at MGM by Harold Rosson (El Dorado, The Asphalt Jungle, Singing in the Rain). Music by Bronislau Kaper.
Must put in a word for Ward Bond, who plays the bodyguard rather well. He was in It's a Wonderful Life and a million John Ford pictures.
