I don't know what's happened to Susanne Bier, she used to be great - see The Bald Hairdresser, or The Night Manager. But since that other Netflix bollocks, you know, when Hugh Grant goes missing, she seems to be in it for the money.
This one is set at a posh person's wedding in Nantucket, where there's a murder. All sorts of unpleasant characters might have done it. We'll find out six hours later.
Nicole Kidman is the pantomime evil matriarch, Leiv Schreiber the pot smoking daddy. Cast features Eve Hewson, Meghann Fahy, Billy Howle (The Beast Must Die, The Serpent), Dakota Fanning, Jack Reynor (Sing Street, A Royal Night Out), Isabelle Adjani, Sam Nivola (Maestro), Ishaan Khattar. Donna Lynne Champlin and Michael Beach are at least likeable as the investigating officers.
It's called The Perfect Couple, should anyone care. And shows that post Succession, anything about horrible rich people seems to be hugely popular.
