It was around the time that Mena Suvari (American Beauty) was found drugged after a party, and Jason Biggs looks after her at 'home' (a veterinary surgery) that we realised (a) we'd seen this before and (b) it's The Apartment. Q argued that as Heckerling repurposed 'Emma' into Clueless that this was acceptable - I think I would have preferred a credit. It's a lot lazy, really, though ends up being better than your average going-to-college movie. But it's still a mark against her.
With Greg Kinnear, Dan Aykroyd (in a non-part), Zak Orth, Thomas Sadowski, Jimmi Simpson, and Colleen Camp as a homeless woman!
Good too in that he doesn't become all popular in the way these things often turn out.
There is a claim that the film was ruined by editing to make it a PG-13 though that doesn't counter the fact that it's The Apartment... did I mention that? Not that I'm conflicted at all.
