Here's a good idea: a psychotherapist, himself grieving the loss of his wife, decides to start giving his clients blunt advice. He is Jason Segal, and his unhappy daughter Lukita Maxwell.
The practice boss is Harrison Ford, in a rather sweet role, and fellow psychiatrist is Jessica Williams, who we've just seen in Love Life (also Booksmart). With Luke Tennie as violent army vet who ends up living with his doctor. To complicate matters, Ford is secretly counselling Maxwell, and Williams was the dead woman's best friend.
10 episodes made by Warner Brothers Television for Apple. Created and written by Brett Goldstein, Bill Lawrence and Jason Segal.
Michael Urie, who looks so familiar as Segal's long-time gay pal, we know from Ugly Betty, which finished 13 years ago. He's looking good!
Funny phrases I noticed: 'things are so janky between us now' and 'pounding my frame'.
