Journalist Geeta Anand wrote a non-fiction book 'The Cure' about a father who started a $100m company to research Pompe disease, which afflicted two of his three children. And Robert Nelson Jacobs used that to write a fictionalised version, pitting Brendan Fraser against irascible researcher Harrison Ford (Regarding Henry remains my favourite film of his). There's nothing very remarkable about it, but was enjoyable enough.
Edited with many a dissolve by Anne Coates.
Best moment:
Brendan to Jared Harris: Well, thank you very much for firing me.
Harris: My pleasure. I never liked you.
Brendan: Likewise.
