That they went from nothing in 1981 to performing with Elton John at Live Aid in 1985 is an awesome ascent. (John is very generous, letting George sing Don't Let the Sun; Andrew is one of the backing singers. He rated them early on.) Interesting that Andrew was the bad boy and the driving force; and that George 'happened' later. I like that Andrew knew it was only a matter of time before 'Yog' went his own way, and that they knew way back that 'Careless Whisper' was a number one (also that the original Jerry Wexler production was binned). Loved his mum's scrapbooks, which provide a good linking device. The decision not to put in present day Andrew as a talking head was I think the right one.
Well put together and enjoyable, despite never really being a fan - some of their outfit choices are terrible.
