Engagingly daft Diane Morgan creation in which she plays a robot (not one of the latest or brightest models) who attempts to look after aging Sue Johnstone (as good as ever) who's coping with living on her own. They form their own unique bond, which is sweet.
This has been done, more seriously, in Humans, but I was thinking it goes all the way back to Lubitsch's 1919 silent comedy Die Puppe / The Doll.
Somewhat less successful in the sub-story of Sue's useless son Paul Ready and his disastrous relationship with Andrea Valls. With Kathryn Hunter.
