The epitome of cozy English murder. An independent naked-river-swimming architect (Samantha Bond, with a 'dodgy' past secret) gets involved when her neighbour is murdered; despite protestations of the police. ('This is Marlow - there aren't any murders here!') Teams up with dog-walker Jo Martin and vicar's wife (could you get any more middle class?) Cara Horgan. Natalie Dew leads the investigation which involves nasty blokes Daniel Lapine, Mark Frost etc. Plus Rita Tushingham, Rishi Nair. Lots of posh properties and interiors.
It was too good to be true - they then made another two series.
