Valentine's Day (2010 Garry Marshall)

On the day the American consumers value so highly, a variety of people have mixed romantic fortunes. We happened to see a news item the night before about South LA and how it was impossible to find fresh and nutritious food - naturally this part of the city is not in this sanitised version of LA which features all sorts of landmarks and prettiness - though might have benefited from a bit of rough part of town stuff.

Ashton Kutcher is the energetic florist (I like films featuring florists, perhaps because there aren't many - what's that one Jen Aniston is in? Love Happens - add to watch list.) With Julia Roberts and Bradley Cooper (I guessed that one wrong), Shirley MacLaine and Hector Elizondo, Jennifer Garner, Taylor Lautner, Jessica Alba (and a cute pale blue VW Beetle), Anne Hathaway (who is not a relation of Julia Roberts thank you Mrs. Q), Jessica Biel, Emma Roberts (who is Julia Roberts' niece), Patrick Dempsey, Queen Latifah, Jaimie Foxx and Kathy Bates.

What's the book George Lopez is reading? What's the quote that's 800 years old? Was Shirley Maclain really in a film called Hot Spell? (Yes, 1958 not on DVD.)

Shallow entertainment.
