It's 1942 at MGM, and the lights are on. Joseph Ruttenburg prepares to film William Powell and Hedy Lamarr, who quivers. (Though she's also thinking about her new radar invention.) Will the Germans invade Hollywood? Is Powell the bad guy?
He's an amnesiac, that's for sure, because doctor Felix Bressart had told us, and fellow doctor Sig Ruman has agreed that no case can be sure to be genuine. Anyway, he gets away with it but THEN... Basil Rathbone and Claire Trevor come to blackmail him
It's a creaky old plot, somehow - you can't help the feeling that it was probably filmed before, in the 1920s. But the cast holds up. There's a score by Bronislau Kaper too, if anyone's interested.
