Goofy Movies No. 3 (1934)

Interesting to see editors doing avant-garde things in MGM comedy short subject, in which an (unidentified) silent film is recut to Pete Smith's knowing, in-jokey commentary ('she doesn't really fit into the story, but she's an attractive girl so we gave her a day's work' sort of thing), replete with freeze frames, backwards film, loops etc. Not that any of this was new of course. Also incorporates fake news - now I'm sure I've heard of that somewhere before.
