What Women Want (2000 Nancy Myers)

Sharply and intelligently written by Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa (husband and wife, TV stuff) and Diane Drake, with nice Myers decor.

Mel Gibson, Helen Hunt, Marisa Tomei, Sarah Paulson (daughter), Alan Alda and Judy Greer (she's in a new Halloween, believe it or not - The Descendants, Love Happens, 27 Dresses, Elizabethtown - no Woody Allens). But Bette Midler steals the film in short cameo as psychiatrist. With reference to Halloween, Dean Cundey shot it.

We did not, though, appreciate a yoga class which Mel attends in which every woman is gorgeous and slim - c'mon Nancy - that's a sackable offence in our mind...
