Cracker: The Big Crunch (1994 Julian Jarrold)

Yes - we only watched it a year ago - but must be completists. Written by Ted Whitehead (The Life and Loves of a She-Devil) for a change, and certainly the least believable of the series (the body in the paper shredder would have left a LOT of bloody evidence, for example).

Fitz's son proves useful in decoding the mysterious patterns (which whether on the body or in the distressed boy's flat are clearly illustrated by the same hand).

Good acting though.

There's something unsettlingly good about her school photo

Samantha was a bit on TV at this point, her big break coming in Woody's Sweet and Lowdown (1999), for which she was Oscar nominated, as she was again for In America (2002). Must watch that again.
