Another useful HBO movie from the makers of The Nanny Diaries (which also had an anthropological sub-text) and American Splendor. Based on the true story of the first family to be subjected to what we now call 'Reality TV'... and found they didn't like it. Not surprising, considering the husband, played by Tim Robbins, is a cheating slut who seems to have had an affair just about every business trip he's been on. James Gandolfini seems to be a director who's on the side of the wife, Diane Lane, but is certainly seen by his cameraman Patrick Fugit as breaching ethical codes. It's a shaded screenplay as all these things are up for argument. Screenplay: David Seltzer (Punchline). The leads are good.
Based mainly in Santa Barbra. Nice Mercedes convertible (a 1970 280SL - thanks as ever to IMCDB).
