Begins with great momentum. Young Charlie Reid is at his mum's memorial at the pub. His useless dad Lochlann O'Mearain has stolen money collected for cancer research. The young man steals it and absconds in a stolen taxi that happens to have Olivia Colman and a new born baby in the back. Luckily the boy knows something about babies...
Olivia is as fantastic as usual and the Reid is good also.
The ending by the sea didn't quite work for me, nor the robin, but altogether it was an enjoyable Joyride.
An Irish production, no one in front of or behind the camera was familiar to me.
Lovely touches like the giant baby head...
and it's in this camper...
...that we hear the C&W song 'Are Your Eyes Painted On? / Can't you See that I love ya?', written by the screenwriter Ailbhe Keogan (with Doug Sheridan).
